Gerard was convicted in the DeKalb Recorder's Court of violations of the county's soil erosion ordinance, and she was fined $2,850. She filed a petition for writ of certiorari in superior court pursuant to OCGA § 5-4-1, "for the correction of errors committed by [the] inferior judicatory. . . ."
