In this prisoner civil rights action, Paul Knox alleges that officials at Stateville Correctional Center ("Stateville") subjected him to cruel and unusual punishment in violation of the eighth amendment when they restrained him with a mechanism comprised of a waist chain, handcuffs, and a "black box." Prison officials used this restraint on Knox and on all other segregation prisoners when they were transported outside the segregation...
