Walter Lee Chambers and James Isaac Johnson appeal their jury convictions and sentences for: (1) conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute in excess of five kilograms of cocaine, 21 U.S.C. § 846 (1988); (2) conducting an illegal gambling business, 18 U.S.C. § 1955 (1988); and (3) conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States (i.e., to conduct an illegal gambling business), 18 U.S.C. § 371...
