Appellants Eric Lopez and Erwin Lopez1 (Eric and Erwin) were injured in an automobile accident and brought suit against the driver of the automobile that struck them. After Eric and Erwin were awarded two judgments against the opposing driver, respondent Merit Insurance Company (Merit), who had issued an uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance policy to Eric and Erwin's mother, Gina, attempted to intervene...
