Defendant Michael Anthony Archuleta appeals his conviction for first degree murder1 and the sentence of death imposed on the conviction.2 Defendant and co-defendant Lance Conway Wood were charged with the murder of Gordon Ray Church, which took place during the early morning hours of November 22, 1988.
