This is an action in tort arising from a 1989 collision between a motor vehicle operated by the plaintiff and a bus owned and operated by defendant Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ("MBTA"). The plaintiff alleges that he sustained personal injuries and property damage in consequence of the negligence of the MBTA's bus driver, individual defendant Ann Marie Blythe.
