This case asks whether the district court properly enjoined arbitration proceedings on the basis of res judicata. We affirm.

Plaintiffs had accounts with defendant Merrill Lynch. In 1987, plaintiffs filed a complaint based on SEC Rules 10b-5 and 10b-16 in district court.1 After about two years of discovery, plaintiffs dismissed the 10b-16 claim.
