Pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, the plaintiff in this suit challenged the loss of his job as the Veteran's Service Officer for Greene County, Indiana, claiming that it resulted from his affiliation with the Republican Party. Finding that political affiliation was a motivating factor in bringing about the adverse job action, the district court entered judgment in favor of the plaintiff and against the Greene County Board of Commissioners...
