The appellant, Derek Lanard Bryant, was convicted of unlawfully distributing cocaine. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The state's evidence tended to show that on March 18, 1992, Officer Ernest Robinson of the LaFayette Police Department, was working an undercover drug investigation in Opelika.
