ALLEN, Chief Justice.

Defendant William Verrinder appeals his conviction for second-degree murder and sentence to a term of twenty years to life. We affirm.

At around 6:30 in the evening of July 29, 1991, defendant shot and killed Kenneth Bullock. Defendant is a Vietnam veteran who has experienced the symptoms of posttraumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).
