Following a jury trial in the circuit court of Jackson County on November 7, 1991, defendant, Kevin Jenkins, was convicted of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. On December 11, 1991, defendant filed a motion for a new trial, which was denied on December 16, 1991. On December 19, 1991, defendant was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment in the Illinois Department of Corrections (DOC) with credit for 147...
