Justice WILLIAM A. LEWIS delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendant, Robert Todd, was charged with two counts of residential burglary. The trial court denied defendant's motion to suppress evidence, and he was convicted of both offenses at a stipulated bench trial. Defendant was sentenced to concurrent prison terms of 15 and 22 years respectively on each count, both terms to run consecutively to a term of imprisonment imposed in a related Franklin County case....
