On April 8, 1982, Noel, Inc, as a contractor, sold a two family residence which it built to plaintiff, Jacquelyn Frick. She lived in one half of the double, which was separated by a "party wall". The home, located at 7844 Sun Street, was financed by Carruth Mortgage Corporation, predecessor to Mellon Financial Services Inc. The loan was insured by the Federal Housing Authority.
