The appellant was convicted of kidnapping in the first degree, in violation of § 13A-6-43, Code of Alabama 1975, and one count of attempted sexual abuse, in violation of § 13A-6-66. The appellant was sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment on the conviction for kidnapping in the first degree and 12 months' imprisonment on the conviction for attempted sexual abuse; these terms were to run concurrently...
