On August 24, 1989, 19 year old Danny "Bo" Corley sustained a close range shotgun blast to the face that was accidentally inflicted by 19 year old David Delaney. Bo survived, but he suffered massive facial injuries and is now legally blind. He sued David; David's father, C.H. Delaney (on whose property the shooting occurred); and C.H.'s homeowner's insurer, State Farm Fire and Casualty Company. A jury awarded total damages of $1,425,500 and apportioned...
