Appellant Jerry McCrary-El is currently serving a life sentence plus 35 years in Farmington, Missouri (FCC), for assault with intent to kill with malice aforethought, first-degree arson, and carrying a concealed weapon. He claims that correctional center employees used excessive force against him in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1983. After a three-day trial, the Hon. David D.
