A jury found defendant guilty of murder in the second degree, § 565.021,1 and she was sentenced to life imprisonment. Defendant appeals, and that appeal is Case 16903. After the jury trial, defendant filed a motion under Rule 29.15 seeking postconviction relief. The motion was denied after evidentiary hearing. Defendant's appeal from that denial is Case 18063.
