Following a jury trial in the circuit court, defendant was convicted of first degree murder pursuant to section 9-1(a)(1) of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 9-1(a)(1) and sentenced to life imprisonment. The issues on appeal are: (1) whether defendant was proven guilty of first degree murder beyond a reasonable doubt; (2) whether the trial court's denial of defendant's motion to suppress...
