This appeal arises from a petition to prove paternity and to obtain child support from Warren Matthews. The petition was filed on behalf of the State of Louisiana, Department of Social Services (the state) pursuant to La.R.S. 46:236.1(B)(1), (C-E) since the mother, Annette Matthews, was receiving Aide to Families with Dependent Children. The petition alleged the minor child, Wynette Carey, was born out of wedlock to Mr. and Mrs. Matthews in Louisiana...
