Defendant, Jacqueline Carr, was charged by bill of information with eight counts of theft of $500.00 or more, in violation of La.R.S. 14:67. She pled not guilty. After trial by jury, defendant was found guilty as charged on six counts. On the remaining two counts, defendant was found guilty of the responsive offense of unauthorized use of a movable valued in excess of $1000.00, a violation of La.R.S. 14:68.
