Vernell Davenport was charged by bill of information on February 2, 1989, with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:95.1. On February 15, 1989, he entered a plea of not guilty. The trial court found probable cause and denied the Motion to Suppress the Evidence on March 29, 1989.
