A confidential informant told law enforcement officers that appellant was manufacturing phenylacetone, a Schedule II controlled substance, at the residence of David and Shawna Smillie in Nevada County. Acting on that information, the officers executed an affidavit for a warrant to search the Smillie's residence. The magistrate issued the warrant.
