The defendant, Mike Archer, was charged by grand jury indictment with vehicular homicide, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:32.1. Defendant waived trial by jury, and the trial court found him guilty as charged. The court sentenced defendant to serve a term of eight years at hard labor with credit for time served. The court suspended five years of the term and ordered defendant to serve two years supervised probation with special conditions upon his release...
