This appeal is the latest, and hopefully the last, chapter in the nearly decade-long struggle between respondent Ryder System, Inc. and members of a Teamsters local, intervenor Highway and Local Motor Freight Employees Local Union No. 667. The case arose when Ryder unlawfully refused to hire members of Local 667 in 1983.
