Defendants, Jesse Thomas and Claude Thomas, were indicted in the circuit court of Du Page County on one count each of unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 56½, par. 705(e)) and one count each of armed violence (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 33A-2). Following a jury trial, both defendants were found guilty of both counts...
