The appellant, Shirley Marie Kilgore, was convicted of manslaughter. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The state's evidence tended to show that on the evening of November 9, 1991, the body of Lieutenant Godwin was discovered on the ground in the appellant's driveway next to the appellant's car.
