The defendant, Lozier Corporation, appeals from a judgment based on a verdict for the plaintiff, Delaine Gray. Lozier argues that the trial court should have granted its motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict (JNOV). Gray alleged that Lozier violated § 25-5-11.1, Ala.Code 1975, a statutory exception to the "employee-at-will" doctrine,1 by terminating her employment with Lozier, she says, in retaliation...
