SEERDEN, Justice.

This case involves claims under the wrongful death and survival statutes, and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practice—Consumer Protection Act (DTPA). A jury trial resulted in a verdict and judgment for appellants. The trial court awarded each appellant actual damages and $2,000 DTPA additional mandatory damages; ordered that appellants take nothing by way of exemplary/additional damages; and, denied appellants' recovery...
