OPINION

LATTIMORE, Justice.

Appellant, Bob Ahmadi, was convicted by a jury for the offense of arson. See Tex.Penal Code Ann. § 28.02 (Vernon Supp.1993). The jury further found that a fireman was injured as a result of the fire, thus elevating the offense to a first degree felony, and that the accelerant used to start the fire was a deadly weapon. The jury assessed punishment at life confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department...
