Although this appeal arrives here on certiorari in a seemingly complicated procedural posture, resolution of a single first-impression issue disposes of most of it. That issue requires our interpretation of 12 O.S. 1981 § 100, the "savings" statute which allows an additional year to bring a new action after a suit fails for reasons other than upon its merits...
