In this personal injury action, the defendant, Mickey Sumrall, appeals the judgment notwithstanding the verdict (JNOV) rendered by the trial court in favor of the plaintiff, Carolyn Sumrall. The jury had found the defendant liable for plaintiff's injuries and awarded her $4,000 in special damages and $1,000 in general damages. The trial court granted plaintiff's motion for JNOV, increasing her award to $11,910.65 in special damages and $30,000 in general...
