Plaintiff, Walter Burdis, filed suit against the defendant, Lafourche Parish Council1 to recover damages for injuries he sustained in a single vehicle accident which occurred when plaintiff failed to negotiate an unmarked curve on Parish Road No. 17 (hereinafter referred to as Dixie Plantation Road) and drove off of the road and into a ditch.
