FERREN, Associate Judge:

After a bench trial, the trial court convicted appellant Jose Garibay1 of simple assault, a violation of D.C. Code § 22-504 (1989). Appellant's sole contention on appeal is that the trial court erred in admitting evidence of his previous assault on the same victim, his wife. We affirm.
