Defendant, Claude Ellis, was arrested on July 16, 1988, and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Upon posting a cash bond, defendant was released from custody. On October 9, 1988, defendant was again arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
