COLLINS, Justice.

Gordon Searles appeals from a judgment entered in the Superior Court (Penobscot County, Brown, A.R.J.) convicting him of escape from a minimum security correctional facility, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 755 (1983), on the ground that the court improperly granted the State's motion in limine to exclude evidence pertaining to the defense of duress.
