Plaintiff Robert Foley was injured when he fell after stepping into a rut while chasing a fly ball during a softball game. Plaintiff filed a complaint against defendant City of La Salle (the city) alleging that its failure to properly maintain the softball field and its failure to warn the plaintiff of the existence of the rut constituted willful and wanton conduct.
