Defendant was charged in connection with the abduction of three women on three separate occasions during the period of March 25, 1989, to March 31, 1989. The charges relating to each abduction were tried separately. Defendant initially filed a motion to appeal both the second and third convictions, those concerning the abductions of Patty K. and Karen D., respectively.
