The Director of the Illinois State Police (Department) filed charges with the Illinois State Police Merit Board (Board) alleging plaintiff violated various departmental rules when she attempted suicide. A hearing officer determined the Department proved some, but not all, of the allegations contained in the complaint. The Board adopted the findings and conclusions of the hearing officer and ordered plaintiff discharged...
