Appellant was convicted by a jury in cause number F86-72226 before the 283rd District Court of Dallas County for robbing Cau Dong Tran at gunpoint on January 1, 1986. His punishment was assessed at imprisonment for 38 years. Pursuant to a plea bargain with the prosecuting authorities, he then pled guilty in cause numbers F86-98455, F86-98456, and F86-74793, also before the 283rd District...
