ARMSTRONG, Judge.

On May 8, 1991, the defendant, Charles D. Fontan, Jr., was charged by bill of information with forcible rape and second degree kidnapping. R.S. 14:42.1; 14:44.1. He was arraigned May 16, 1991 and pled not guilty. The trial judge found him guilty as charged November 20, 1991. His trial counsel withdrew, and new counsel filed a motion for new trial January 8, 1992 which was denied April 13, 1992. He was sentenced July 1, 1992 to ten years at hard labor...
