Plaintiff Beatrice Maynard brought this action in the district court to compel disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), 5 U.S.C. § 552, of certain government documents and parts of documents pertaining to the disappearance of her former husband, Robert Thompson, during a flight over Cuba in December of 1961.
