Vernon L. Fontenot was charged by bill of information with two counts of armed robbery, violations of LSA-R.S. 14:64. He pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was convicted as charged. The court sentenced him on each count to serve a concurrent term of thirty-five years imprisonment at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence, and with credit for time served.
