In response to his plea of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity, a jury convicted Samuel Jeffers of two counts of armed robbery, LSA-R.S. 14:64. After adjudicating him a third felony offender as to only Count One and reviewing a presentence investigation report, the trial court imposed consecutive terms of 133 and 66 years of hard labor imprisonment.
