In April 1992, a jury convicted defendant, Dorsey D. Dowds, of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) (625 ILCS 5/11-501 (West 1992)). In August 1992, the trial court sentenced defendant to 60 days in jail. On appeal, defendant argues that he was denied a fair trial by the prosecutor's "unnecessary and inflammatory demonstration of pouring seven beers into a pitcher during rebuttal argument."
