SHEA, Justice.

This matter came before the Supreme Court on appeals filed by both parties. The plaintiff, Dorothy Allen (Dorothy), raises four issues. She asserts that the trial justice abused her discretion in failing to allow her to reopen her case and in granting the defendants' motion for a directed verdict. Dorothy also argues that the trial justice improperly interrupted cross-examination of a witness to instruct the jury on the issue of causation...
