The Board of Adjustment of the City of Corpus Christi denied appellee's request for a zoning variance. Pursuant to Tex. Local Gov't Code Ann. § 211.011 (Vernon 1988), appellee sought a writ of certiorari in the district court, and the district court granted the writ.
