WILKINS, Circuit Judge:

Rahn Kristopher Willis pled guilty to possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base, 21 U.S.C.A. § 841(a)(1) (West 1981), and to using or carrying a firearm "during and in relation to ... [a] drug trafficking crime," 18 U.S.C.A. § 924(c)(1) (West Supp. 1992). Willis appeals his conviction of the firearm charge, contending that an inoperable firearm is not a "firearm" within the meaning of § 924(c)(1...
