A jury found defendant, Raul Quiroz, guilty of two counts of solicitation of murder (Ill.Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 38, par. 8-1.1 (now 720 ILCS 5/8-1.1 (West 1992))) of his father, Roberto Quiroz. The trial court sentenced defendant to concurrent sentences of 18 years and 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
