A jury convicted Douglas White of sexually abusing two of his wife's grandsons, R.H. and L.H., who were, at the time of the trial, aged nine years and seven years respectively. Evelyn White, the appellant's wife, had custody of L.H. for reasons not relevant to this case. The two boys were the Government's principal witnesses during its case in chief.
