A jury found Kenneth Stone guilty of passing, uttering, and publishing a United States Treasury check that bore a forged signature, a misdemeanor. See 18 U.S.C. § 510(a). Stone received a sentence of ninety days in prison to be followed by one year of supervised release, and was ordered to make restitution to the Bank of Highland for $368, the amount of the check.
